Design.The load-bearing wall.
UX research, UI design, prototyping, design systems built to scale with the product.
◆ Why we do this
Design is the load-bearing wall of a product. Build it cheap, and everything sags.
Product design and UX with engineering at the table from day one. UX research drives information architecture; high-fidelity UI ships as production-ready components. Design systems are built to absorb growth, not to be redone in 18 months.
◆ How it goes
Our approach, in three phases.
Research
Generative + evaluative user research, jobs-to-be-done framing, competitive UX teardown. Users in the room (or on the call) before pixels move.
Architecture & flows
IA, sitemaps, user flows, state diagrams. The skeleton of the product in low fidelity. We argue here, before the visual layer makes everything feel decided.
UI + system
High-fidelity UI plus tokens and a component library. Production-ready CSS variables, Tailwind-compatible. Engineering inherits a finished system, not a mood board.
◆ What you get
Concrete deliverables.
No abstract decks. Every engagement produces artifacts you can hand off, build on, or hold us accountable to.
- UX research synthesis + insight deck
- Information architecture + user flows
- Hi-fi UI library (full coverage, all states)
- Design tokens (color, type, motion, spacing)
- Production-ready component library
- Brand guidelines (if greenfield)
◆ Common questions
Things people ask before they brief us.
Can we use our existing brand?
Absolutely. We extend or refine. We do not replace, unless you ask us to. Many of our engagements layer a product design system on top of an existing brand identity.
How does design hand off to engineering?
Tokens-first, components-first. We share design tokens (color, type, spacing, motion) and production-ready components 1:1 between design and code, so handoff is mostly a non-event.
What if we have an in-house designer?
We collaborate. Often we lead UX architecture and let the in-house team own ongoing UI. Or we build the system and they extend it. Whatever fits.
◆ Three more disciplines
Often, the work spans more than one.
